Gully Boy has struck the right chords owing to its powerful dialogues and the raw acting prowess of the lead pair, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. The film which released on February 14 has minted almost Rs.80 crore at the box office so far. Gully Boy opened to great reviews from both film critics as well as audiences. Hollywood actor Will Smith, who loved the movie so much shared a rapping video of Ranveer in his instagram handle, praising his rapping skills. The movie which is set against the backdrop of Dharavi traces this rapper’s journey out of a hellhole which he calls home. Based on the life of rappers Divine and Naezy, the musical drama has Ranveer Singh playing underdog rapper “Murad Sheikh” and Alia Bhatt playing his love interest “Safeena”. Both Singh and Bhatt have aced their roles well. They have breathed into their characters and given them life. Ranveer has impressively modulated his role on screen. On the other hand, Alia has enacted as a supportive lover leaving a staunch mark, though her role is small.
